The Archery Club is now open with new club hours

There is a 3D shoot on the 5th of December at CFB, All AANS members Welcome

Sunday night from 7-9 pm & Tuesday night from 6-8:30 pm

CFB Halifax Archery Club had it’s inception in the summer of 1994 as a result of a brainstorm from two local military members actively engaged in Archery. The Archery Club has been growing ever since. The Club promotes various disciplines of archery through training, friendly competitions and appropriate use of the equipment. We are located in the Drill Shed (Building S-14) at CFB HALIFAX (see our club map). The Archery Club offers 10 indoor shooting lanes from 9 to 50 meters in range; it’s the only one of its kind in the greater metro area. Our location is able to accommodate various types of events such as; Indoor Target Shooting (FITA) and 3D competitions. The Club’s membership is comprised of Pee Wee, Pre-Cub, Cub, Cadet, Junior, Senior and Master Archers from the military and civilian communities.

CFB Halifax Archery Club is a project to elevate the sports of  Archery to the members of the Canadian Forces. The Archery Club thrives on promoting the discipline of archery to the young and old.  Perhaps what is so appealing about archery is its easiness and accessibility to just about everyone. Almost every age group can participate and enjoy this sport. While it is a fun sport, it is also physically demanding.   Archery increases not only strength but also focus, flexibility, and attention skills. It is relatively inexpensive if you just want to play for fun. If, however, you want to compete, then the price can jump quite high depending on the cost of equipment required. Archery tournaments are much more than just competition; they provide excellent opportunities to meet other people with the same interest as yours. Archery is a great activity that the whole family can enjoy together year round.
